Homemade jewelry can be just as awesome as something you purchase in a store, if not even more unique. While it might sound a little unconventional, if you have a colored pencil and a stud earring hanging around the house, you can make an awesome piece of jewelry (that will probably have people doing double takes). Check out the easy DIY project below, and up your accessory game.
To start off, you”ll need a colored pencil, a saw, a stud earring base, a backing, glue, and a drill.
Saw your pencil in half.
Use a drill bit that is about the width of your earring back and drill into the pencil.
Use a small amount of glue to set the backing in the pencil. Make sure not to fill up the hole.
Glue the stud to the other half of the pencil.
And you”re set!
This creation is definitely eye-catching and unexpected.
I”m not very confident in my power tool skills, but this looks so simple! What do you think of this surreal piece of jewelry? Would you wear one (in the hopes of freaking people out)?
